Rockstar shows off Red Dead Redemption cover mechanic

Rockstar’s released a couple of new shots showing the cover mechanic for Red Dead Redemption.

Rockstar conifrmed earlier today in their “Asked & Answered” featured that there will be a small media blowout for the Westerner next week, including the second gameplay video for the game being released.

The game’s out on PS3 and 360 on April 27 in the US, and April 30 in the UK.

I have a feeling this game is going to be special.
I don’t know why but all the stories I have followed so far (on VG247 of course) have made me want this game.

The “Rockstar Wives” seem to think this is going to be a bit shit. Should be interesting to see what happens.

The cover system looks more organic than most. Obviously I can’t gauge much from that one screen shot but it looks as though he is grazing the side of the rock rather than sticking to it.

Also… is he really gonna stop that stage coach?

Those pictures are impressive. This game is looking exceptional. Here’s hoping…
