The Beatles: Rock Band hits 1.7 million worldwide

The LA Times is reporting that global sales of The Beatles: Rock Band have now exceeded 1.7 million.
Some 1.18 million of those units have been sold in the US – that’s over 69 percent.
Over 357,000 units were sold in America in December.
The game release in September, in which is cleared 595,000 units in the US.
For clarity, Activision’s Guitar Hero 5 sold only 996,000 units last year, compared to 3.4 million from 2008′s Guitar Hero: World Tour.

Why? Something against good games?
I’m happy to be part of the 1.7m, and at Christmas, my entire family was happy with my purchase too. Ages 3 to 80.

I agree with Nox. and I don’t mind good games.. just hate tired music. Since the gameplay is the same as the 1000 versions of rockband/GH… nothing innovative or interesting here.. just tired old music.

@MushroomStamp
Grow some hairs on your chest! The Beatles are amazing and responsible for most of the trends you listen to in music today (and some bloody inventive music).
Not to mention the game itself is loving created and a joy to watch and play.

blah blah blah.. before I was borne and could care less what they may have contributed. There is a reason Beatles aren’t played on ANY radio stations except oldies and easy listening.
Only people in UK give a crap about the Beatles.. well.. or over 45
