James Cameron “exploring” option to make more games

Speaking with X-Play, Avatar director James Cameron has said he is “exploring” the option of making more games, potentially with Ubisoft.
“I’ve got a lot of stories, and I don’t have enough time to make them all as movies,” he said.
“That’s something I’m exploring with Ubisoft to see if maybe’s a relationship around just getting these stories and world ideas into games, just completely independent of movies. You know, good ideas and visuals are exactly that.”
Ubi published Avatar: The Game back in December, just before the film’s release.

“More games”? Did he actually play any role at all in the Avatar game other then it being based off his movie?

Ubisoft are seemingly desperate to jump into bed with Hollywood lately so I’m sure they are very keen also.

Well the fact that he’s already assuming making an original game takes less time then a movie is a step in the wrong direction, its always possible ofcourse but rushing a game will most likely give the same result as a rushed movie: Something bad.

Cameron is good at coming up with highly detailed universes if he wants to let Ubisoft to pick his brains and make games all the better I say.
Of course whether Ubisoft can execute on those ideas and make decent games is another matter entirely.
