Sega to reveal Project Needlemouse info all this week

sonicnew

Sega is to reveal new details of its next Sonic game, Project Needlemouse, this week.

On its American blog, the company posted a list of possible characters for the new 2D Sonic, saying it’s going to show who’s playable in the game – and who isn’t.

Find out who makes the cut here.

The game was announced back in September.

Does anyone actually care about the extended cast of characters in the Sonic games? I’m perfectly happy with just Sonic, Tails and Robotnik. The voice acting is always annoying too, the only voice needed is the one that says “SE-GA!” when the game loads.

Sonic is just a horrid and bloated IP now. It’s telling because no one even remembers the rest of the cast and each time they turn up they diminish the licence a little more.

I read “Find out who makes the cut here” and thought, “I already know – it’s SEGA”. And then I realised that it said “cut”. :-D

There were rumours of vanilla Sonic Adventure coming to XBLA earlier on today.
