SCEE confirms £110 pricetag for GoW III Ultimate Trilogy Edition in UK

SCEE’s confirmed to VG247 that the God of War III Ultimate Trilogy Edition will set you back £110 when it releases in March.
The package, which consists of the God of War Collection and GoW III itself as well as some other special bits like soundtracks and exclusive DLC, was recently pencilled in for £109.99 at Game (thanks, AHA-Lambda), with a release date of March 20.
Asked if that was indeed the price, a Sony rep told us: “Yep it’s £109.99.”
SCEE didn’t tell us if the date given by Game was true or not.
The Ultimate Trilogy Edition was revealed last month, just before Christmas.

Oh well. I doubt march 20 is the real date cos that’s a saturday.
Plus it’s also available to order here (if that’s any use to you johnny): http://gamestation.co.uk/God-of-War-3-Trilogy/~r418765/

To be fair to Sony, I am still waiting to hear back to see if it will still bundle Collection and 3 together.
So sit tight.

I don’t understand why everyone’s so upset about the pricing.
You’re getting three games with it. 3 games that normally fetch about £40.
3 40′s are 120 right? We’re getting off cheap!

2 of those games go together so that 40 not 80. Plus they didnt even sella t full price in the US so its probably more lilely to be more 30. So we have 70 so far where does the other 40 come from then >_>

If you think people pay £40 for GoW 1 or 2 you need some help.
You can get both GoW 1 + 2 on ebay for just over a tenner.

I will just say however, that the God of War 3 cover looks snazzy as fuck.
Black with a logo. Very hot.

@10: That would be true if you couldn’t buy the collection for £30 now and pre-order God of War 3 for £32. So that’s ~£50 for a box and some random tat.

Pre-ordered
I’m a complete sucker for special editions, and God Of War 3 is by a country mile my most anticipated game of the year, and with Dream Theater on the soundtrack, that’s something I would have bought anyway.
It’s 30 pounds more than I thought it would be to be honest, but what the hell it does look great.

What’s wrong with this price? A brand new AAA game can be stickered at £55 these days. Add to that the reissue of I and II plus the extras and £110 is a reasonable sum.
For heavans sake, it will soon be £90 on Amazon anyway.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Game has the exclusive on this… which means the price likely wont be going anywhere.
(until they have to get rid of the stock later)
…and again, look at the price above to see what you can actually get the games for right now.

110£= 123€
Price of GoW3: 70€
Assumed price of the Collection (going as low as a new game can be sold at): 40€
Comes to 110€, you could say the DLC and soundtracks are worth 13€… Bargin for me. Does the UK version of GAME ship outside of the UK?

The pound is very low, so I don’t think you can do a straight conversion and come up with the Euro price point.

It’s not game exclusive cos it is on gamestation as well. However i don’t see anyone else selling it yet, just those 2.

I know i cant Freek, thats why i’d rather import it from the UK and pay (i’m guessing) almost a quarter off the price.
And GAME UK do import, 3£ shipping.
I dont suppose anyone has a spare offer code before i checkout?

Yeah I knew that but sometimes Game do get exclusives that Gamestation don’t get.
Considering they are the same company essentially this might be exclusive to both or not exclusive at all. We’ll need to wait and see.

You can’t compare publisher RRPs of future releases with discounted storefront prices of games already on sale for a while.

This is for the real hardcore. The people that love the art and design into GOW. not just the game. The soundtracks, the art, the imagaination etc. You if dont agree with the price you dont have to buy. But for an avid GOW fan its got everything you would ever want.
Am excited about the soundtracks
