Netflix CEO says chances for the service on Nintendo are "excellent"

excellent

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings has said the chances of Netflix coming to Nintendo are "excellent".

According to Gizmondo, during a stage presentation during CES, the CEO never specifically said the word "Wii", but unless Nintendo has some secret console hidden away somewhere in another castle, Wii would be the only way to go at this time.

However, rumors that circulated back in October have the service coming to what streaming media analyst Dan Rayburn called Wii-HD in early 2010.

A couple of days before that, Michael Pachter stated that he and other analysts expected a Netflix announcement from Nintendo "within the next 12-months".

And, if you want to go further back than that, during March 2009, Netflix sent out a survey polling consumers on the possibility of the service on Wii.

So, as the matter stands now - we reckon that it's no longer a matter of "if" it's coming to Wii or not, just "when" and "how".
