Video: GT5 shows 3D side at CES

Sony has been showing off Gran Turismo 5 at CES in Vegas. In 3D. There’s video after the break.
Not much good though: doesn’t show anything 3D, as, obviously, you’re not wearing amazing 3D goggles. Still looks decent though.
Polyphony’s sim racer is out in March in Japan, with no date yet for Europe or North America. A new trailer was released yesterday, which you can get here.
The box-art was also released this week, featuring the Mercedies SLS AMG.

I was originally angry at the pointlessness of this video. Now I’m in awe – this guy is clearly a masterful japester, conning us all into watching this video.
Bully for you, sir.

this is no more stupid than adverts for high def telly that they pass on SD channels. I’m pretty sure i remember sky advertising skyHD and actually demoing footage! I bet some people were wondering what all the hd fuss was about.

errr, wheres the point?
video cameras should require a license, seeing this nonsens..
for the hd showcase..
Well, as SD is most likely not on its limits, it could be that for the hd showcase the bandwith got raised, which results in clearer and sharper image quality on SD channels.
at least here in germany most SD channels are not broadcasted as good as they could be simply coz more bandwith is more expensive for the companies.

You can do an HD advert on an SD telly, if you zoom in on the picture and do the comparison from that. The HD pic will retain detail whereas the SD will look blurry and rubbish. Job done.
This video however is completely and utterly pointless. Hahahaha! Stereoscopy relies on *two eyes*… so, um, one video lens isn’t going to cut it. Even if you put the glasses in front of it. Hahahahaha!!
