Sony: “God of War III is a must have”

godofwariiia6

SCEE has told CVG that God of War III “is a must have” title.

Speaking in an interview with the site, product manager Claire Backhouse said the game is set “apart from other next gen titles.”

I think if you are over 18 and want an amazing single player experience this year then God of War 3 is a must have,” said Backhouse.

It also benefits from a deep and involving storyline, steeped in Greek Mythology. This is what makes God of War 3 unique and sets it apart from other next gen titles.”

Backhouse said in the same interview that the game is “only possible on PS3.”

The game has no EU or US release date yet other then just March, but SCEJ dated the game yesterday for March 25.

This is kind of like the Tories at the moment.
Making noises about how good this is, but not really giving any real reasons.
details please, real details.

i completed god of war 2 on me ps2 yesterday (snow day) it took me about 10 hours :) only stopping for food and the occasional cup of tea. it was fucking awesome, once i got past the standard definition i had a total blast. i forgot there was a whole slow down time mechanic. the level design is awesome, none stop action i honestly didn’t feel like putting down the controller all day, how many games can you say that about that…

spoiler: i forgot that Kratos is Zeus’ son.

there’s five gods left on Olympus according to the end movie, i guess they will make you fight through them, including hades, i hope they’ve got something special for that boss fight

it got me thinking…how is kratos gonna lose all his powers this time, and which magic spells are they going to have…that Medusa’ head power was cool but in all honesty i never used it in either game so far…maybe you will get a magic for killing each of the four gods leading up to zeus

This is one of the strangest news items I’ve ever seen posted. Can we have one for every spokesperson who says you should buy a game? :D

I completed GoW and GoW2 in the GoW Collection recently. Forgot how good, but how frustrating the games were.

@3 (possible spoiler)
Not only how does he lose his powers, but how does he lose the Sword of Olympus too? Because I didn’t have access to that in the demo for sure.

EDIT
@ Psycho
I can imagine that someone at Ubisoft said people should buy Imagine: Babies shortly before it came out. As it’s a must have because it’s only possible on the Wii.
Only possible on the Wii because no other console would want it.

What, like…

Titan Quest
Age of Mythology
Rise of the Argonauts
Clash of the Titans

@Geki

Rise of the Argonauts
Clash of the Titans

…still apply.

Still unoriginal.

Still not unique.
