Nvidia and Intel are clear hardware favourites with Steam owners, according to the Valve service’s latest survey.

Nvidia accounted for over 63 percent of all GPUs running Steam in December, with ATI runner-up at 29 percent.

Intel enjoyed similar success on the CPU front, being used by 69 percent of Steam players.

Detailed data on Steam users’ systems showed the most popular machine used Windows XP with 2Gb of RAM.

No shock there. The last round of AMD/Ati stuff was crap but this new generation is far better than Intel/Nvidia and alot cheaper but right now, I guess people are waiting to upgrade to dx11 when there are actual games that benefit from it

I would buy a AMD but they support them consoles. So no thank you not when you have micro soft and game devs trying their best to destory pc gaming.

I dont think AMD are out to destroy pc gaming. I blame Microsoft and Vista for that. I think if Vista hadnt come on to the market, how many people would have switched to consoles.

I was laid off in May last year and the games industry as a whole keeps sprouting on about how much revenue is coming in, then complain about the cost of games.

I dont think its so much the cost but the PR arse licking that costs a fortune
