Left 4 Dead 2 gets free weekend for Silver Live users

left4dead22

The 360 version of Left 4 Dead 2 will get a free online weekend next week, commencing January 15.

That means Silver Live subs will be able to play too. Although quite why you would have bought L4D2 if you didn’t have a Gold sub is a bit beyond us.

The offer ends on Sunday, January 17.

Since the game’s release back in November, it has sold over 2 million units for both 360 and PC, with over a million Live users playing it online.

The game gets its first DLC in the spring, known as “The Passing”, which will feature the survivors from the original L4D meeting up with those in L4D2.

Thanks, EG.

Has anyone managed to complete Dead Center online (13 cans, not 8) with THREE players and ONE AI? Impossible. If you stick together, the AI director throws endless numbers of SI after you, but if you split into two’s (best strategy for 4-way) the AI never sticks with the lone player. It’s ridiculous.

That smiley face was meant to be an 8.
