Damn I ahven’t even got a 1080p tv yet I’m still at 720p (might be why to me there is not a HUGE difference between bluray and dvd though).

I’ve heard 3d will be the next big thing for decades now and I’m sick of hearing it. Am I the only one who is just happy with normal consoles and TVs?

100hz/120hz (input & output) capable tv = 3DTV. It’s just a marketing term attached to it.

Active shutter glasses simply wont work with anything less.

Okay, i’ve got a question.
If 3D TV is not a prerequisite, and Cinemas that are viewin’ Avatar are standard cinemas…
Theoretically, we can get the same effect of Avatar on standard HD TV, am i right?

Neo, without a 3D capable display all the firmware updates in the world wouldn’t make 3D magically appear in your living room.

This analyst didnt account for Avatar , and news surrounding sony’s ps3 and tv .

Avatar’s quality instead of the usual 3d horror crap movies we’ve seen lately (even those had a massive success already) , and the idea that 3d is only a firmware update away for the ps3 is really jumpstarting the trend.

he also forget how Nvidia’s cards being equipped with googles is not even so weird and new anymore .. a trend that Ati will most likely follow , and be integrated fully into directx .

Nvidia’s pilots already make it work with a list strong of at all 100 titles .

Face it , he’s wrong , it’s already out there for more than the meager million he expect for tv .
