Chromehounds online servers to shut down today

chromehounds

Sega’s announced the online servers of Chromehounds will be shutting down as of today.

The news was previously confirmed in August.

The From Software robo-action game was released back in summer 2006.

Only the offline gameplay elements will be available as of today. Go say your fond farewells.

Thanks, Joystiq.

It’s a sad day indeed, truly one of the best console games of this generation but it never took off as well as it should.

Anyone who spent any time in the Neroimus Wars will remember it with much fondness and those who only read reviews by people who had obviously never played it in multiplayer or just tried the iffy demo will never know what they missed.

I always quite fancied this but never got round to it. Is the single player campaign much cop?

Single player is just a glorified tutorial for the online fight.
