Kitase: FFXIII PS2 development cost us “a-year-and-a-half”

Speaking in an interview with OPM Benelux, Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase has revealed that the RPG was originally in development for PlayStation 2.
But after the announcement of PlayStation 3, FFXIII PS2 was moved over to PS3: something that cost Kitase and his team “a year-and-a-half” of development time.

PlayStation 3 was Introduced to the world at E3 2005 by then-SCEA president Kaz Hirai and then-SCEI CEO Ken Kutaragi. It released over 19 months later in Japan, being made available on November 11, 2006. A US launch followed on November 17.
Europe would not see the console for another four months due to a lack of diodes for the machine’s Blu-ray player. The European PS3 launched in March 2007.
Release titles included Insomniac’s Resistance: Fall of Man, Evolution Studios’ Motorstorm, Namco Bandai’s Ridge Racer 7, Activision’s Call of Duty 3 and more.

GOW2 “Valentine Event” hands out chocolate in the form of XP

New AvP video focuses on co-op in Survivor Mode

SEGA’s put out a new video for Aliens vs Predator, showcasing the Survivor Mode from the FPS.

If you’re a PC player, system specs were released for the game a while back, and to tide you over until it’s released, you can play the classic AvP over on Steam – which just had multiplayer patched into it.
Game’s out on PC, 360, and PS3 next month.

GameStop has revealed that Gearbox is releasing the downloadable content available for Borderlands onto one disc, and it’s called the Borderlands Add-On Pack.

Game titles in XBLA Game Room will be rated E10+, says MS

Microsoft has revealed that when its Game Room launches on Xbox 360, there will not be any Teen or Mature rated games present in the application, as it will be rated E10+.

Werewolves and Vampires event added to Battlefield Heroes

AoC: Rise of the Godslayer takes us to the grasslands

Funcom has released another video for its Rise of the Godslayer expansion to Age of Conan.
The expansion is expected to “deliver a wealth of new content and features” set in the eastern empire of Khitai.
