Christmas: we’re calling it
Before I descend into writing stories about some mad woman that called the police because her son was playing GTA in the middle of the night, I’m going to stop for Christmas.
As you’ve no doubt noticed, our post-rate’s dropped off steadily over December: Steph’s taking a well-earned rest; Nathan’s doing whatever it is Texan students do over the Holidays; Johnny’s getting ready to start full-time in January, and I’ve got a houseful of screaming people. This year’s dead to us.
If anything earth-shattering happens over the next couple of weeks I’ll stick it up. If not, I’ll hibernate. I want to say a giant thank you to all our readers. You’ve given us amazing support this year, and it’s not really possible to tell you how grateful I am. We’re here to stay, and it’s all thanks to you.
We’ll be back at full power on January 4, 2010. Please have a brilliant holiday. See you next year!

In other news, I just had what I assume is Jehovah’s Witness, or worse the Christian brigade.
And now my waffles which were a little stale got completely burnt in the toaster, and made me kitchen fill with thick smoke.

I’m a little embarrassed.
Bayonetta is getting stellar reviews across the board but after playing the demo I kinda felt a tad let down.
Maybe the full game is better but right now I don’t think I’ll buy it (If I do it will be on 360 =D)

You could always rent it. Might be a few weeks till the hardcore renters have done with it but Blockbusters (if your in old blighty) do a decent week rental for a fiver.

Haven’t got a Blockbuster membership… Well, I have but I have a huuuuge fine on it (curse me and my apathy!).
I may try and swindle a LoveFilm trial for it, but if not there are plenty of other January games for me to play (Darksiders, Mass Effect 2, MAG etc).

I have been saying that for years. This happens a lot these days. As if the 60usd isn’t enough, they have to hold back “DLC” content and charge another 10usd each for it.
Happens all of the time.

Well, as i said some time ago; atleast the DLC isnt essential to the games main plot, unlike the PoP DLC which was pretty much the end of the game being sold separately. Dont feel obligated to buy it.

Been lurking for a while — been trying not to visit too much but VG247 has got its hooks into me, compulsive reading — just signed up especially to say an end-of-year thanks to Pat, Steph, Mike, Nath, Mouse, and Johnny, and of course the forumites who come up with news stories, and the jolly commenters.
