Video – Red Dead Redemption to “foster a unique sense of organic gameplay”

reddeadred2

Red Dead Redemtion has been designed to “foster a unique sense of organic gameplay and exploration,” according to Rockstar’s first gameplay video. Watch it here.

It also includes buffalo-shooting. Awe. Some. Do we want this? Yes we do.

It’s out for PS3 and 360 in April.

I am now pumped about this, considering Revolver was a total let down for me.

It does look really good, the only thing that puts me off is that it’s Rockstar.

No matter how good that trailer makes it look, I dislike the GTA games so much that the possibility that this is little more than GTA in a new (albeit far more appealing) setting makes it hard to get excited about. Let’s hope it’s more than that.

Dr. Haggard, this isn’t the “GTA Rockstar” North doing it, it’s San Diego, the guys who did Midnight Club.

@8: great news!
I didn’t like the gta 4 gameplay, so I was a bit afraid of buying this game >_>

It does look good but I have a feeling it would become one of those games that I don’t finish (just like GTA4) as it drags on too long.. who knows

It took me one year and six months to finish GTA4, but I did, and I am happier for it.

Took me about 5 days to finish GTA4.

And once the main story is over… There is nothing.

According to my stats it took me 29 days to finish GTA4. Did you skip most of the optional stuff, Pud?

Nope, I did it all. Unless you mean assassin missions and quasi-vigilante missions, and car collection.

I did all the stuff in the main story.

It’s snowing.

Didn’t you do the assassin missions? They were great fun!

I suppose it depends how long those days were, tbh. I took 29 days but that was probably at about 2 hours of play per day.

There is lots of ‘Uniqueness’ in the video

Before seeing this trailer, I could care less about this title. After seeing this trailer, it’s now on my radar to watch and currently has a 75% buy probability. Very impressive.

P.S. Does that look to be 60FPS you think? It’s very smooth.
