Kane & Lynch: Dog Days trailered, blurry, awesome

kane&lynch2

Square’s released a first, proper trailer of Kane & Lynch: Dog Days, as you can see after the break.

The movie shows off the game’s “YouTube” visual style. Realism ‘r’ us.

We got to have a good chat with the devs about this last week, but we’re under embargo until mid-January.

Watch. It’s going to be cool.

NDA’s are a force to be feared. I wouldn’t even dare shirk one let alone break one.

I don’t understand NDAs.

Why would the publisher invite you to view the game and then say your not allowed to talk about it?

Surely allowing word of mouth to spread is the only way that people will garner interest in a game?… Especially the sequel to such a poor first effort.

onlineatron: NDAs expire. It’s so the print media can catch up.

imagine your mom makes you a strudel and she goes “don’t eat it until dinner”, even though it is the morning. you can still eat it, but you have to wait for your dad to get home from work before you can indulge.

hmmm strudel.

He is allowed to talk about it past the NDA date. A lot of it depends on factors. Like if they released the video of everything pat saw whilst he was there he would be allowed to say I saw that when I was there, thought it rocked my underpants off.

I understand that NDAs expire. I just don’t understand why they would want to keep the information away from the public for any amount of time =S.

I loved Mesca’s strudelrific analogy though =D!

It’s part of their marketing strategy. They’ll spend this month showing the game off to loads of people then in January they’ll all be able to talk about it, meaning that you’ll get dozens if not a hundred blogs/sites talking about K&L2 at the same time.

I guess I’m one of the few that actually liked the first game. I liked the story, the multiple endings and the voice acting as well. Good to see that at least Lynch is coming back. I hope Kane’s VA is back for this one as well. This trailer was pretty sweet, though. :)

They would sue him into oblivion then no developer would ever let pat near their studio’s again.

What exactly are people finding good about this trailer? It shows no actual gameplay let alone even in-game graphics…

@ Gekidami: just a few words: THE OLD REPUBLIC
