Japanese retailers break FFXIII street date
UFFS has posted shots of what looks to be an early retail copy of FFXIII.
There are images there of the box and some screens of the game itself.
Final Fantasy XIII officially launches for PS3 in Japan on December 17. Everyone else gets it on March 9.

It still doesn’t seem quite real that it’s almost out. FF games are always supposed to be ‘sometime in the future’, not ‘now’.

It’s funny… I’m obviously expecting this to sell a lot, but it feels like no matter what it sells, it’s going to look like a minnow vs MW2′s whale like initial sales.

I agree PT. And to be honest, I am not sure How Much it will sell. I wonder if it will be huge or not. Its FF so it seems silly to even ask that question. But still I wonder.

Looks like there’s a LOT happening December 17th. GT5 demo, Army of Two demo and now this, plus I presume a lot more.

Sometimes being impaled by a sword can make a good plot point.
Although… Sometimes it can make a cliched plotpoint that people remember for years, for no apparent reason and clai they cried over. And NOW thye want a remake. PSSsssht.

Apparently they’ve shipped 1 million copies to the stores for launch, with two further shipments of 150k each to come during the next week.
Which is ‘quite a lot’.

If there is, it isnt in the menu to watch at the start of the game it seems.
Otherwise, we would have known by now.
I’d say if there is, it’ll be unlocked at the end.
