Square announces spring release for NieR

Square Enix has announced that NieR will see a spring 2010 release on PS3 and Xbox 360.

It also released some new screens, along with the box art this morning, which has no mention of Replicant or Gestalt anywhere on it nor in the fact sheet below the break.

    “peering into the mirror reveals yet another tale,” is part of the PS3′s Replicant trailer for this…

    The trailer on the English official page is for Gestalt (it’s the one first shown during TGS); then, there’s another, completely different, dual-branded (ps3/x360) trailer.

    Perhaps, there is one game for now, and then both platforms, outside of Japan, receive Replicant, later on?

    Watching both Gestalt and Replicant trailers, I could only wonder how I had let this one past without noticing it, before now.
    It looks great! I hope it lives up to the promise shown in the trailer. :)
