Dante’s Inferno dev diary talks seventh circle of Hell – Violence

First time i’ve bothered to look at the game in action… I wont lie; its sort of ugly…

btw: Is there meant to be a video up there? Theres a big-ass space for one but no video.

This game is looking awesome if this video is anything to go by.

I thought the graphics and presentation of Dante’s Inferno demo were good, but yes, it’s a 100% GOW clone to the tee.

The gameplay is stale and having to fight 30-40 enemies non-stop on one screen is now old, boring, and very repetive to me.

Based on the demo, I’m no longer interested in this game.

I’ve just grabbed the entire thing. It really is God of War in a different skin, but I enjoyed it a lot. Fantastic presentation. Can’t wait to play both, to be honest.

Is it the same demo that was at the Expo, Pat?

Nah, it’s different. It’s the opening 20 minutes of the game itself. It’s pretty awesome, to be honest. Very Visceral.

Clones are ok if they add something unique, I didn’t see that in the demo. Personally just found it rather boring that’s all. But yes the graphics and story telling techniques are well done.

I haven’t played any God of War game, apart from the GoWIII demo, so I’m not bored of the whole “thing” at all. But yeah, I could fully see why you might not like this: I was shocked at how similar it is.

I played both this and God of War 3 extensively, and while this one is a tad uglier and bit of a rip-off, I had more fun with Dante.

Your mileage may vary, though.
Bayonetta rapes both, anway. That’s what fan-fiction is made of.

To play devil’s advocate, I really don’t like Bayonetta very much. Dante’s and GoW3 were much more fun.
