Xbox World and OPM to feature Dead Space 2 in next issue

Xbox 360 World’s the latest magazine to reveal that Dead Space 2 will be featured in its next issue.
This month’s issue features a teaser image of Isaac with a “2″ on the page, along with text stating: “”One of 2010′s biggest sequels. Next issue.”
Official PlayStation Magazine revealed yesterday that it too will feature the sequel in its next issue, all leading up to a reveal on December 22, apparently.
The cat was let out the bag earlier this month when an EA Redwood job posting revealed the game along with multiplayer.

Thanks, Blerk.

So looks like Visceral or EA decided to pass the developement of Dead Space to another studio to make it multiplayer and probably shit out a story. tsk tsk
I won’t be buying this game, will be on my gamefly list. Thats all you get EA. This type of behaviour should never be rewarded. What did that Borderlands trailer say?

I didn’t even buy the first one.
The demo put me off completely.
Plus I don’t really get survival horror games. Aint played them since Resi 2.
Am sure it was pretty decent though.

Small point of order – OXM is Official Xbox Mag, Xbox World is a different mag and goes by XBW. Or XBW360 if you’re thorough.
The *next* issue of OXM will have Dead Space 2 in, I can not-at-all-exclusively reveal.

Christ! Thanks Jonty. Fixed. Abbreviations and I are NOT getting on well today. They are kicking me in the ass.

Eregol: The demo really didn’t do the game justice. I downloaded the demo at release, and decided not to buy it since I really didn’t like. Bought it second hand a few months later, and I friggin’ loved it. Awesome game. Can’t wait for the sequel.

Agreed the demo does not do it justice. First 20 mins of the game would destroy what you thought about the Demo. Being at the helm and overlooking space, I had my jaw dropped the entire time.

One of these days I really need to go back and finish this. I bought it the weekend it came out and my friend came over to play. We turned off all the lights and would take turns playing it. Once someone needed a break from the tension, we’d switch. Good times. I should have finished this in the summer when I had more safe daylight hours to work with lol.
This was also one of the first games in a long time to make my friend and I actually say wow out loud. The way they handled the interface and map handling and holographic displays were amazing.

@ Phoenixblight –
We heard similar rumblings when Uncharted 2 was first mentioned as having multiplayer, and, well…
Got faith for this one. Infamous was my first Platinum, but Dead Space was my second. So brilliant, it even gave me a (small) taste for ‘hardest game modes’ which I never actually had before.

I remember the demo dropped me in a room and threw a few necromorphs at me which I promptly killed, then…….nothing.
I used the directional thing and it told me to go in a certain way and then I was at a wall that I could do nothing with.
Not a great way to demo a game to me.
I have no doubt that it’s a great game. I just don’t think I’ll play it and enjoy it.

I loved the DLC for DeadSpace. Made it a superb 3rd person shooter. Clocked it about 4 times fantastic.
