FFXIII gets final, whopping pre-launch trailer
Square’s put out its last Final Fantasy XIII trailer before the game actually releases in Japan on December 17, as promised. Watch it on here (thanks, bugmenot).
It’s silly-pretty. It’s also in Japanese, so you’ll just have to be satisfied with the visuals for now.
It’s out in the US and Europe in March.

It wouldnt be an FF game without your Japanese RPG stereotypes. FF pretty much invented them.
And XIII is being seen as a sort of ‘return to the roots’ (the VII roots that is) after XII tried to take the series else where.

Final Fantasy VI, IX and XII manages to get by without a generic cast of throwaway stereotypes and caricatures just fine.
It seems like we have to wait for every third game to get something that isn’t generic trash. Roll on Final Fantasy XV!

I dont remember much about IX but i’m pretty sure some of the characters were apart of the usual FF stereotype package.

Yea id say so as well, it will be intresting how many they sell. One things for sure Microsofts lead will be narrowed in the next few month

Final Fantasy XIII in Japan can easily do for PlayStation 3 what Halo did for Xbox 360 in the west. I don’t think FFXIII will have a console shift in the west though, what with it being released multi-format.
