Crackdown 2 – 85 bits of art, renders and screens

And i thought AC2 looked bad.

Assassin’s Creed 2 ??? The contender for game of the year Assassin’s Creed 2??? Bad must be the new good.

Nearly everything graphics related in AC2 looks shoddy. I didnt mean the over all game.

You know what none of the mega hyped, mega marketted games out there should win Game of the year on anyones list. Not this year. That means no MW2 and no ac2. Neither game takes their respective seires anywhere they haven’t been before. Both games just retread the same old ground.
Not that games have to be revolutionary to be game of the year. ut in my mind all MW2 and AC2 are is another grab at your 60usd with the same game. The samething is true with L4D2. It would be like saying that the new G. Hero game, or the new version of FIFA/NFL is game of the year. To me game of the year should be something that stands out rather then blends in.
Some of my examples of well deserved game of the years?
Uncharted 2
Super Mario Bros Wii(the multiplayer is hella fun/mind blowing)
Borderlands
Fat Princess
Batman Arkham Asylum
And a small handfull of others that deserve at least a mention.
All AC2 represents is another over the top violent game aimed squarely at the mindless drone like teenager male crowd. Sure a few of the older male gamers will be drawn into it too. You will, someday, move beyond that. Gratuitus vilonce, dabble in some sex, coat it with obscene language, layer in a dose of instant gratifaction…and bang there you have it. No doubt a winning formula. Also no doubt that some of you will be so blinded by hate that you won’t be able to see what I am saying. But you too will someday become an oldergamer
