I’ve been watching the vids and reading articles about MAG.
from what ive seen it looks like a promising game, but im not sure how the 256 player match will pan out.
apparently the game engine can support 256 players without lag but im looking forward to the “somewhat” tactical gameplay of being in 8-men squads
(can i get my beta code? im anxious to try this game out)

And by somewhat I mean really quite.
It has the worst parts of BF2 (the logn journeys from useless spawn points), without the redeeming features; sprawling, beautiful maps, cehicles and squad spawning. The landscape is just like a massively overcomplicated deathmatch arena.
And as for the ‘feel’, they tried to go CoD:MW, but it just feels horrible. It’s not quick or snappy. The guns fire clumsily – the bullets with a lethal capacity similar to chunks of brie, as opposed to the bullets.
And then, the worst most heinous element of the ‘feel’ is the perspective and angle of the weapon. I am constantly scared I am goign to fire off left into my teammates skull.
That is when I know who my teammate is, and if I havent just reached my destination from a twenty minute hike through urban nothingness, to be killed by one grenade of 256 all within 15 meters of me.
And I dont even know hwo to use the fucking heal tool.
