PSP adhocParty launches, gets walkthrough video

PSP marketing manager, Kristin Neirinckx, has posted a video walkthrough over on the US PS Blog detailing how to use the new adhocParty system.
In case you have been living out in the wilderness with wolves and are just now coming back to civilization, the online service allows PSP users who own a PS3 to connect with others via PSN.
We’ve posted the walkthrough below, but you can get it through the link too.
It’s available as of today.

This is very nice. Even better that it’s free.

THIS is cross-game chat equivalent for the PS3? Obviously not by the video…. but regarding capability.

Pretty vague question I know. But can this be used to play PSU on my PSP3000 online? If so I will be getting the component cables asap and be playing online. Infact I am going to go take a look into that right now. Will give you feedback on how it works soon. Would seem easier to do all of this is firmware for psp me thinks. bbl.

Just tried this out with Dissidia, and it worked without a hitch. Finally, a fun way to build up cards for the games; no-one I know around here plays it.
While the lag in Dissidia was pretty harsh, that was likely an issue of connection problems on their side more than anything else. Gonna give it more tries and see if it persists.
