Looks like the list of nominees for the VGAs are up, and Game of the Year contenders include Uncharted 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Modern Warfare 2, and Left 4 Dead 2.
Studio of the year noms include Infinity Ward, Naughty Dog, Rocksteady, and Valve.

Batman is fun while it lasts, but the game is as restrictive as all hell, its story is largely non-existent and utterly terrible, and the combat system, while it looks cool, is terribly one dimensional, dull, and repetitive.

I’ve played both.. I much prefer U2 over DA.. DA is great for story and all.. but U2 is just soooo much more fun.

Let me tell you this…if Batman didn’t have all the ridles to solve and discover,using gadgets to have access to some of their locations it would be a very boring game

Short to. I beat it in about an hour, start to finish ignoring all of the riddles and FMV’s. Though i also knew what i needed to do which probably gave me an edge.

If it’s not the most deserving winner (Arkham Asylum) then I’d like it to be Uncharted 2. MW2 is the weakest of the five.

I got AC2 this morning, having played it yet though. I have to say i’m surprised its managed to get nominated based off its reviews. And L4D2 is abit of surprise to.
But yeah, out of the all of them UC2 is more deserving. No doubt MW2 will win though.
