The 2009 Video Game Awards will host the exclusive world premiere of HALO: Reach on Spike TV December 12.
This is according to a tweet posted by Geoff Keighley.

Was wondering about this (VGA premieres) the other day, and then he tweeted about it minutes later.
Wonder if there’s anythign more interesting to be revealed? New IP (hopefully)?

It’s going to suck. Bungie doesnt have the talent to actually change the halo experience. I wont be surprised if it feels just like the previous three with all the same “wtf” issues.

Not to mention ODST was a complete waste of money. 4 hours of gameplay and a game mode you can’t play without friends who own the game. sigh

Why is it I get the feeling they’re going to have a beytrayalton there somehow? Or at least have Episode Three there?
They’d need to have it there anyways.

Is there a single betrayalton left in this industry?
I am saying Valve and Rockstar will both be absent like the big independent thinkers they are.

The next pre-christmas Mario-title, perhaps? Keighley did tease it on his Twitter, after all.
On the other hand, Spike TV and Nintendo doesn’t feel like a match made in heaven.

A betrayalton is where a massive betrayal happens that is considered a megaton.

Hindle – Think amongist the lines of FFXIII at E3 08. Or more recently, and less dramatic, NMH coming to the PS360.
As for what betrayalton will be there, GTA IV DLC for PS3?

I’m not sure there’s anything left that would make much of a ripple. Gears of War on PS3 possibly? I’d say Mass Effect 2 or the GTA DLC but I think everyone knows they’re going to end up on the PS3, it’s just a matter of when.
