Kotick takes another $17 million from Acti shares

bobbykotick2

Bobby “Bobby” Kotick has just dropped another 1.68 million shares, personally raking in a further $17 million.

The ActiBlizz metaboss grabbed $20 million from a three-day stock-sell marathon over Modern Warfare 2′s launch last week, taking his profits in the last nine days to a cool $37 million.

Holy fucking fuck. We’ll do straight sex for $1 million, Bob. No kissing on the mouth, though.

More on Gama.

Bobby Kotick killed himself last year, then was revived yesterday and went and burnt some money on a film set?

How many shares does this guy have left?

Just wait – a few months down the line Activision will be laying staff off.

He probably gets a lot of share options as part of his salary, he’ll buy them all back during a slow year for Acti-Blizz and do the same again when there’s a meteoric game on the horizon, perhaps when the WoW follow-up comes out.

“Following the transactions reported on this Form 4, Mr. Kotick directly held 3,109,729 shares of the Company’s common stock, consisting of (a) 2,500,000 performance shares of the Company’s common stock, (b) 484,849 restricted stock units and (c) 124,880 shares of the Company’s common stock.”

So he turned $14 million in options into $37 million in less then a year. Not bad going.

Of course, if those shares had been sold straight to the market there would be an extra $37 million for games development but hey.
