Konami announces 24-hour Metal Gear Online Survival Challenge

Konami has announced details on a Metal Gear Online 24-hour Survival Challenge, which is open to all registered players.
The challenge will be held once a month for the next four months, and players will be awarded Reward Points based on their team’s winning streak.
Scheduled dates are November 28, December 26, January 23, 2010, and February 27. Participants will need to log into the game during the 24-hour period and select to join a Survival lobby with numbers capped at approximately 3,000 total players.
All participants will receive a specific in-game Regain T-shirt while different levels of Reward Points will be given for each team’s achievement, and those that participate in all the events and collect all four Regain T-Shirts will get a special Regain Hat.

Hey Konami how about putting the game on PSN servers so I can actually enjoy my favorite series in gaming, online rather than using your stupid fucked up Konami I.D. crap that I’ve forgotten.

not to mention the fucking lag they offer.. i bet in Japan they might have super smooth connections, every place else, we get a fucking lag fast! I would play the game more if they did not use that stupid konami ID and if there was no LAG!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I COULDN’T AGREE MORE!!!!!!!!!
This game took me HOURS to download all updates needed (I have a 16Mbps connection mind you), and then at LEAST 5-10 minutes every time I try to get into a single online game.
Add the seperate id crap on top of that, and you’ve got yourself one of the shittiest online experiences for one of the best games on the system, which is a real shame.
