Good news. Im calling it now people, 2010 is going to be the best year in the history of games. I mean first half of next year alone we have:

If Hitman 5 and HL Episode 3 come out next year ill be in gaming heaven well i am already. Second half of next year is a bit more vague at the moment.

fucking right it will be. Mass Effect 2, Heavy Rain, Bioshock 2. I think there is more but I am so pumped all I can think about is FFXIII ^_^

I’m betting Sqeenix conveniently forgot it’s promise of simultaneous US and Euro release.

C&VG seem to think that this is the date for the US and Europe. A Tuesday launch over here is pretty weird, though.

I know i aint Pud im going of potential and no one can deny those games have amazing potential.

As for The Last Guardian if that comes out next year 2010 is the best of all time. I think it will be 2011 though. Also i said first half of next year btw

11 was an MMo that doesn’t even count. 12 had problems like the Director had cancer so he left mid developement so they brought a new guy in to finish it so ofcourse that would be crap.

THis game has Kitase the guy who created Chrono Trigger, FF7, FFX which for me says it has potential then you have Tetsuya Nomura who is in charge of the Entire Crystal Nova series and who also does the Character design. That just gives it even more of the WOW factor.

They all look like great rental titles to me.

The only games i’m buying next year, that i know i’ll wanna play 6 month later:

Nah. I’d never be stupid enough to boycott a game just because I don’t like the fact that Leona Lewis is singing a song in it.
But to be honest, I hate Leona Lewis. I don’t think she’s that great a singer. She’s dull, and she ruined one of my favorite songs of all time.
I’d prefer it if it retained some of it’s japanese flavour in it’s soundtrack really.

I agree, Eregol. CHrono Cross was by far my favorite soundtrack. We would only have to deal with her singing on the romaantic parts its not like she will be singing while I am fighting Omega Weapon (not saying he is or is not in the game just using it as an example)

If HL2 Episode 3 DOESN’T come out in 2010, then something is seriously wrong with Valve. Episode 1 released ’06 and Episode 2 released ’07 for petes sake!

Oh come on Square move the release date back to until April your cutting into other games wtf, there’s already too many games in that month seriously not only will other games sales hurt but so will yours! And I say you came late with the release date so you should move it back a month! I want to be able to afford all the games I want, White Knight Chronicles, MAG, Heavy Rain, God Of War 3, The Last Guardian, Gran Turismo 5, Darksiders, Army of Men 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Dante’s Inferno, Bioshock 2 and now friggin Final Fantasy 13! Because that is a Saturday. All publishers follow the rule of US release dates on Tuesday, March 9th and Friday for Europe.

You also have to figure the game being released next month for Japan so if those that are willing to look can find all the info they want then.

Waiting for the press release to drop, but I get the feeling, thats if Acey Bongos tweets are anything, that bundles for the 360 and the game will be announced.

I am not entirely sure why must be something with manafacturers of the game and the retailers. CDs are usually released on Tuesdays aswell. There have a been a few that release on odd days like SSB and Zelda were released on Sunday in the states.

The military are assholes and you must clearly be from Arizona which are filled with the same kind of people.

Everyone can read and see that this was posted from the EU blog. So common sense should have kicked in about the second,second you noticed the date. Still I think that’s a bad date anyway. who wants to spend their spring playing a 50+ hour RPG. A December 09 release would have been sweeter.
