Yes, Facebook is coming to PS3 says Sony source

Listening to the Giant Bombcast lat night, and had to laugh at the utter truth spoken, that these days people are excited about firmware.

But when I look at it like this, why should we be?

Our hardware is getting accessibility boosts for free, firmware should be exciting.

Whoop-dee-fucking-doo. How about fixing the friends list, adding voice chat, or some of the other things people have been asking for instead..

Getting the feeling I just said somethign wrong.

I’m with Dr. G please get rid of those boxes around the friends list or at least make them optional. Xgame voice chat will be nice too as it will help with trophies boosting needs ..oh and return the text on the XMB back to normal fuck the SDtv users…upgrade to HD bitches

My comment was not towards you at all Pud, in fact I do look forward to firmware updates. I’m just not a fan of facebook…and even if i was, wouldn’t consider it a priority..lol.

Nice extra, but here’s what Id like to see more from Sony in making my PS3 kick-arseolious.

*Release the PSN API, and get some good community sites going and using all that data. Its crazy its not available.

*Re-think the PS3′s software all together. Why do updates take so long? Why do I have to sync my trophies manually to the server?, and why do most days I get an error and they cant be synced? Why aren’t the demos that I download, installed in the background while I’m doing something else? All those could be fixed, and would make the PS3 experience so much better.

*And also, an improved community. Get some themed game nights going on PSN, or even some official competitions to enter and even some free-bee’s now and then. Most of the success the 360 has had is due to a really good community, something that the PS3 needs and should have.

But it just bugs me that with such a great machine hardware wise, the software and the network lets it down.

Free on PS3 , free PSN.. For Xbox and Facebook you need GOLD.. so you pay monthly or year charge.. what a bunch of BULL!

Is this from the same source that said cross-game chat was coming last month? (I’ll never let it drop!)

Well obviously an update is incoming becuase the movie rental service is coming this month.

Maybe Cross-game chat will be late along with that. Or maybe it will come with a Netflix update next year.
