IW: No multiplayer reset for anyone who has retail MW2

Why would you only “reset” somebody with a pirated version? Why not just ban all of them and forget the whole reset thing?

On November 2nd, there were 16,000 people online playing the game. I imagine playing the game’s multiplayer with such a large part of the community having already become familiar with the maps and spawns and having access to higher level guns, perks and kill streaks. This is not fair to those who didn’t have early access to the game. Even reseting the game’s multiplayer at midnight, those who had early access would still have a decided advantage by knowing the spawns and maps. I can understand not wanting to penalize those who bought the game legitimately but this is unfair to those who would have waited until launch like myself.

pc gamers and modder could do the same but real pc gamers I am sure don’t care at this point.

You do realise that console sales go through a cycle as cost cuts are introduced and they hit certain price points? Not to mention the fact that there’s a natural sales decay as you move through the generation (for example, the PS2, xbox and gamecube had their highest sales in their second and third years).

On second thought I think I’m just going to play a little bit of MW2 like a day because this is a great opportunity to catch the guy I’m competing for trophies with. There’s a trophy in KZ2 that you have to be in the top 1% for the week rankings.

While everyone is busy playing MW2 I can clean up quick and get the platinum in KZ2. Plus I’ll be working on GTA4,BFBC,and R2. I might not really get into MW2 because I’m such a completist and I must finish all those backlog games I have in my collection in order to be have peace of mind while playing MW2.

@G1GA maybe he will. But I recently went the other way(not as it sounds actualy). But i am in the process of jumping to PS3 from xbox. I found the experience to be less then enjoyable. The biggest culpret? That darn PS3 gamepad. I know the controls and feel of the xb360 one. I keep getting the buttons messed up(in a game that I played a lot on LIVE, now playing on PSN). I keep getting so ticked i am about ready to toss the controller thro the TV. I hope Tea doesn’t have the same trouble.

Yeah, the PS3 pad takes some getting used to, but you get used to it after a while. I find that i’m probably slightly less accurate for FPS aiming, because I’m used to my thumb facing forwards instead of at an angle, but it’s only fractions of a second’s difference.

I am not going to buy any more sonys product be it dvd player or tv.

The only problem I have with the DS3 is that my R2 BUTTON spring must have broke and now its super sensitive.

The 360 pad is ok. It feels good with Forza3 and FPS so I’ll get use to it. I just hate that xbox button in the middle and sending text messages are a pain.

Best way to send messages on the 360 is either with an attached keyboard or using the chatpad (which is actually pretty good). I tend to use a keyboard on my ps3 and the chatpad on my 360.

I am just having trouble adjusting to the PS3s pad. I am strongly considering a XCM Cross Fire Convertor so I can use my xb360 pad on the PS3. But in the end I might just stay on LIVE. Hard to say right now, I have a few months till my Gold account is up to decide. But I am looking at options.
