Why would I pay for an AVATAR costume where there is no cool place to show it off..

I hear people complaining in HOME to pay for better outfits, but at least you can show it off to your friends world wide!

While I agree with you that it is a waste of money and i will never purchase “clothes”. I think you should be able to unlock them by obtain certain GamerScore.

You do get to show them off. Just to the people that are on your friend list and those in party with said friends. Also there are a couple games that use Avatars in game.

Ironicly most of the stuff for avatars bears EXACTLY the same price tag as stuff on Home.

I just bought the Ghost Outfit and UAV and yeah it may seem pointless but it’s a way to show your inner fanboy for the games you love. The first thing I ever bought was a Bioshock T-shirt when the Avatar Marketplace launched. You know sometimes my friends and I are in a party and we’re just mocking what the others’ avatars are wearing or seeing who can come up with the most creative outfit for their avatar and it’s so cool to see someone’s avatar dribbling a basketball or playing with a remote control warthog. It’s a way to share a little bit of your personality as well.
