Prince of Persia movie trailer makes us want to see the Prince of Persia movie

Yeah, you’re probably thinking: “Isn’t that the whole point of a movie trailer?” Really though, how many trailers have coaxed you into actual excitement about a videogame-based movie? Yeah. This Prince of Persia teaser is a landmark event in the histories of both film and gaming.

Shame about Jake Gyllenhaal’s face, though. We thought real actors were supposed to be more expressive than videogame characters.

That bit where his body glows looks like the way you could change into the demon in the third prince of persia game “the two thrones”.

I never played the PoP Sands Of Time games, so is the Prince really a wise-cracking, bumbling idiot?

Then again with Disney and Bruckheimer in the same (pirate)boat together again i cant say i’m surprised, they should have cast Johnny Depp and called it Pirates of the Persia.

Hmm… Sort of looks like a cross between The Mummy and Pirates of the Caribbean. Might be alright, in a popcorn-and-brain-switched-off kind of a way. At least it has a budget.

There’s definitely a lot of the Two Thrones prince in there, you can see the Daggertail and the same pattern on the Prince’s arm as in the Two Thrones too. Interesting.

Not a bad trailer. It’s certainly faithful to the source material, which is frustratingly rare amongst video game adaptations.

With Jerry it will be better than most popcorn movies released in the summer. If it was Michael Bay it would have been on instant ignore.
