Heavy Rain to get playable demo

heavyrain2

Quantic Dream boss David Cage has told G4 that Heavy Rain’s to get a playable demo.

“We are currently working on a demo, which is a real challenge,” he said. “Finding one scene that can convey what we are trying to achieve with Heavy Rain is something really difficult.

“If we show an action scene, some players will think that this is what Heavy Rain is all about, and it is the same thing if we show an exploration scene. The problem is that each scene of the game offers contextual game play, which is something very difficult to explain and convey in a single demo. Demos are often a double-edge thing: if you don’t release one, players may think that you have something to hide.”

Do the sexy scene, David. For the boys.

It’s out next year. More through there.

that demo will make or break I think. If they pick a bad scene….oh boy, I can see it now. Headlines every where on every site saying Heavy Rain sucks.

I think they need to give us the Taxidermist demo.

It looks creepy, sets a tone, has a sexy character and has an action sequence and multiple outcomes.. PERFECT.

@theevilaires
I hope to God that doesn’t happen. Heavy Rain has the potential to move the industry forward… I don’t want it to fall flat.

Can’t see a QTE game as a playable demo. Just release a trailer, A demo for this game would definatly not help it. THink if they made a demo for Indigo Prophecy.

The Taxidermist bit isnt in the final game though, people will probably complain about that. I mean Heavy Rain is a game people just want to pick a fight with.

“Think if they made a demo for Indigo Prophecy.”

…they *did* make a demo for Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy. It convinced me to buy the game, in fact.

Johnny, we know atleast 80% of the writers here are homosexual. That’s absolutely fine, but I’d prefer if you didn’t specify sexual activites like trying put your hands down every male gamers pants. It’s hardly professional.

Does this ‘hand’ ship with the game or do you have to provide your own?
