Also coming to the game ths week as DLC is Alanis Morissette and The Flobots.

Fumito Ueda has revealed that he has an “interest” in possibly making first-person games.

“I have an interest in making first-person games”, the Team ICO boss said in an interview at TGS with G4.

He also admitted a love for one First-Person Shooter in particular: Valve’s Half-Life 2.

“There was variation in terms locations. and also the way of storytelling in the game. Usually, you have to incorporate storytelling with constraints, but the way they [Valve] implemented constraints was something different that I enjoyed, compared to other games.”

Molyneux: We never said there won’t be any Project Natal in Fable III

fable-iii-3

Peter Molyneux loves Project Natal so much that he fathered a child with it. It stands to reason, then, that Molyneux’s just a bit enamored with Microsoft’s all-seeing eye, and that he’d include it in other games, right ? You there, in the back, with your hand raised. Uh, Mr. Game Kings, is it? Would you care to answer the question?

“I am going to say it’s going to use a controller. But I’ve never said it’s not going to use Natal,” Molyneux told the site.

“I have not said that we’re not going to have Natal in Fable III. All I have really said is it is a controller experience. That doesn’t mean there isn’t going to be Natal. Do you really think … knowing me … I wouldn’t want to use something like Natal? I mean that’s just mad, man.”

Can you say “chicken-kicking”? And you thought the Wii-mote was a danger to your television.

Thanks, Kotaku.

Monster Hunter 3′s Western release changing for the better

monsterhunter31b

Kotaku sends word that Monster Hunter 3′s receiving a extra additions en route to its Western release – you know, aside from that whole “English language” option we’re so fond of around here.

First up, the cooperative monster mash is probably losing its subscription fee when it crosses the pond.

“It’s something that we’re looking into at the moment and there are a few factors to consider. Firstly, Monster Hunter isn’t as popular in the West, so it might put people off. Secondly, Japan doesn’t have Friend Codes, so Capcom run all the servers and the monthly fee is essentially to pay for those costs,” Capcom’s Chris Kramer said.

In addition, Capcom producer Ryozo Tsjmoto said that the publisher is currently “looking into” possible Wii Speak functionality for the game.

Atlus: Demon’s Souls NA servers going live on October 6

demonssouls

No one owns Demon’s Souls yet. No one. The game doesn’t release for another few days. Procurring an early copy is impossible. Even if you’re the President.

But, hypothetically, if you’ve somehow managed to weasel your way into a copy of Demon’s Souls before its release date, Atlus would like you to know that the game’s online servers won’t be live until October 6. The publisher told us as much in a press email.

For now, you’ll just have to make do with single player. Or you would, if you had a copy of Demon’s Souls. Which you don’t.

New Modern Warfare 2 trailer released [Update]

modernwarfare22

Update: That was fast. Nelson’s just tweeted that the trailer is now live on Marketplace. Get it here.

Original Story: True to their word, Infinity Ward has given us the new Modern Warfare 2 trailer, as promised on Friday.

Massive twist near the end of the trailer too. We wont give it away, but it is a big one. And it has “Call of Duty” in the name alongside Modern Warfare 2, which will hopefully clear everything up once and for all.

It looks amazing, obviously. Unless you’re one of them anti-Acti nuts boycotting the game, you can’t afford to miss this.

You can find it after the jump.

It’s out on PS3, 360 and PC on November 10 worldwide.

Thanks, GT.

Stardock’s Brad Wardell: “If GFW takes over, I’m done”

demigod

Stardock’s Brad Wardell has lashed out at Games For Windows Live, and says that if the service decides to “screw things up”, he refuses to make more PC games.

Speaking with Shacknews, Wardell discussed how he started off as a “big Games for Windows Live advocate,” and wishes that “Microsoft would do a lot more in making the PC better as a gaming platform.”

“I intended for Elemental to be on Games for Windows Live, but then as we got closer, the Xbox group took it over more and more,” said Wardell. “And they have things where, oh, if you want to use Games for Windows Live to update your game, you have to go through [their] certification. And if you do it more than X number of times, you have to pay money. It’s like, ‘My friends, you can’t do that on the PC.’

“On the console, I don’t have to update my game because an anti-virus program got an update and is now identifying my VB scripts as viruses and I have to apply an emergency patch. That would just add insult to injury. We’ve had to upgrade our games plenty of times over the years, not because we found some bug, but because some third-party program, or driver, or whatever screwed it up.

“If Games for Windows Live maintains that strategy and they take over, I’m done. I’m not making PC games. I would be done.”

More through the link.

Thanks, Maximum PC.
