He left this cryptic post on his blog:

“Am I an “idle man”, I wonder? (^^;
Well, I am just trying to pastime…
I am working hard on a new project.
Now we are being rushed into the “finishing” stage.
No matter what, I will make it really good…. “

Pachter: Borderlands has been “sent to die”

borderlands1

Speaking in GT’s Bonus Round, Michael Pachter has said Borderlands is a game that is being “sent to die”.

The Wedbush Morgan analyst insists that the FPSRPG combo from Gearbox has missed its window of opportunity and will get its “butt” kicked from Dragon Age: Origins and Modern Warfare 2.

“Sent to die. I think Borderlands is the definition of a game that should have had its own window and not be up against all this stuff. It’s absolutely the same audience. I don’t think it’s as much an RPG as they would like us to believe,” said Pachter.

“If it’s an RPG, Dragon Age is going to kick its butt; and if it’s a shooter, Call of Duty or something else is going to kick its butt.”

The game is out this week in the US and UK for the PS3, 360 and PC.

Kojima: “I can promise” Zone Of the Enders 3

Zone of the Enders 2

Hideo Kojima has come out on his blog and promised that Zone of the Enders 3 will be made – some day.

“I cannot make a promise about time. However, I can promise a sequel.”

He however admitted that the failures of Zone of the Enders 2: The Second Runner was “an error” on his part

The game, which was released in 2003 and produced by Kojima, recieved great praise and has a cult following. But he maintains the mediocre sales were down to a bad schedule.

“Everything was due to an error by me.

“At that time, if I hadn’t made a mistake with the release date, [Zone of the Enders] might have ended up a major Kojima Productions title to follow MGS, still seeing development as a series,” admits the head of Kojima Productions.

Still, ZOE3 is a certain now at KP. Everyone’s a winner. Thanks, Andriasang.
