New Mass Effect 2 footage shows Shepard vs. zombie apocalypse

Ok, so technically they’re “Husks,” but if it looks like a zombie and talks like a zombie, then what is it? Don’t strain your brain too hard on this one.
Anyway, this trailer – courtesy of G4 – is two minutes and 43 seconds of fast bullets chasing down slow zombie-husk things. Shepard may have a quick tongue on him, but we have to admit that explosions and gunfire make for a better trailer.
Check it out for yourself after the break.

*sigh* husks really needed a come back? most boring and annoying enemy in ME. I would know just replayed it the other day. I hope this 2 minute video of husk o mania isnt a hint of them being the primary enemy

They are a bit dull, yes. Unfortunately, they’re also heavily tied in to Mass Effect. Might not be too bad, as long as they’re used in an interesting way.

These enemies were pretty pointless in the first game, i mean they could barely hurt you let alone get to you. And the game never really had enought in one place to swarm you with them either (which is sort of the point in zombies). Based off that video i’m not seeing that many in the same place either.

Interesting, they changed the interface.

Every game has to have it shocktrooper and husks are that for Mass Effect. Atleast they put a more realistic feel to them such as how they sound and run. What I am curious about is the UI is completely rehauled and it seems like the game is more FPS-esque. Not complaining hopefully they made the engineer, sentinel and bionic abilities have its own unique feel.

i wish bioware would let us know what decisions get carried over, got to do this for a 3rd time since i deleated my save files, and i could do with knowing if the side quests such as kill the geth incursions are decisions

Is that the point Hindle?
It gives you’re actions some context, and since the narrative is not contained in one piece of media (becuase it’s interactive) your decisions hold some accountability.
Games more and more are becoming difficult to balance between communicating something, and making it fun.

Here’s hoping they’ve fixed the Mako sections.
