Full transcript of Heavy Rain presentation at Eurogamer Expo

heavyrain

David Cage presented Heavy Rain today during the last day of the Eurogamer Expo.

During his chat, he talked about levels, choice, sex, PS3′s prowess and other goodies regarding the game.

One of the scenes shown from the game was Hassan’s Shop which stars Shelby, the private detective, encountering a guy coming in to sack the store register.

Cage showed two different ways the scene can be played out – either by hitting the would-be robber over the head with a wine bottle, or talking him into leaving the store.

Eurogamer’s Ellie Gibson was on hand for the presentation and the Q&A that followed it, and lucky for us she livebogged the full thing.

The full transcript of it can be found through here.

If by highlight you mean…. Not the highlight.

Wasn’t Uncharted 2 there? Wasn’t Split Second there?

Are you on a mobile phone typing these comment?

It looks pretty good, but no way in hell does it even come close to Uncharted 2.
Besides, it’s all about the gameplay. Dragon Lair also looked stunning at the time ;)

Obviously it doesnt come close to Uncharted 2, but im not counting that as its already out. I think it will be another showcase for the Ps3 for graphics anyway.

@ No Pud

Wouldn’t have thought Uncharted 2 would’ve been there, it’s been released so there’s no real need to exhibit it.

Really wasn’t impressed by the graphics nor the quality of the writing at the demo that was at the EG Expo.

@ Whizzo

Agreed. Split/Second was the best game there for me, and that’s really saying something from a person who usually has zero interest in the genre.

Split/Second really was lovely to look at and great to play as well, it deserves to be huge when it comes out next year.

I think this is an extremely interesting looking game. I enjoyed Fahrenheit, and if this has learnt from the mistakes made their, and has built on the narrative side of it then we could be in for something special.

I am at a point where I’d read anything Ellie writes.

David Cage was great, a really entertaining guy, glad that the only developer session I sat through was his.
