thank you vg247 for finding the truth, Now lets see console fanboys say consoles have a future. more like console game devs and hardware companies are going bankuprt because of consoles.

yep enjoy your last generation of consoles. Then you have microsoft and sony wanting to push another console good luck with that.

It’s easy to understand the drop in Vaio’s sales. Those computers are freakin’ expensive, specially the notebooks: 1000€ for a Vaio netbook? It’s no surprise that they don’t sell well, with a lot of cheaper and worthy alternatives.

Yes they did, but sales of consoles aren’t the only thing that drives profit. This story is *specifically* about hardware sales.

I’m only guessing here, but I would imagine a large part of Microsoft’s profit has come around due to the launch of the new dashboard last year. They said themselves that digital downloads skyrocketed due to the nature of the new interface.

What I meant is that I imagine *hardware* sales are down across the board.

Well, that was only up to September 30, so only includes a month of Slim sales…the next 6 months should be more positive, what with UC2, and FFXIII in Japan.

I’d imagine their more recent figures will be more pleasing for them. It’ll be interesting to see just how much better they do money-wise post price cut, though.
