God of War III demo is GO

Pretty awesome.

I have never played a God of War… And well the bosses were awesome, so were my abilities.

But the framerate was weird (never low, just inconsistent) and I hate the kind of very mechanic way Kratos moves. It’s like only isometric directions.

I guess that helps with design, but in some bits of traversal (the wings double jump) it can feel kind of limiting and robotic.

Would have been better if it were a new demo.

The cave with Helios’ head is amazing. The specular lighting is pretty fuckign amazing.

It’s an extremely gamey-game. I don’t know what to think about that yet.

I know dude bear in mind they have been showing that level since april imagine what it looks like now. Im curious as to why they aint showed new levels for this lately

They showed the Hades boss battle apparently. Not publicly though.

The way it’s titled E3 2009 demo, i reckon there will be another demo. Anyway, I ahve two Ratchet demos to play now.

They probably havnt showed (and wont show) alot of stuff to not spoil it.
As of now you can see some screenshots of different stages (including the Hades boss battle Pud’s on about) but no footage.
As for the framerate Pud. You sure it wasnt just the game going slow-mo? It does that when you do certain moves.

Have to say I felt pretty underwhelmed, there doesn’t appear to be any innovation over the last installment. Even the graphics didn’t seem that hot after the tour de force that was Uncharted 2. Here’s hoping there are a lot of changes since this demo was created…

@Gek, I agree it’s being kept pretty much under wraps. But no, I am completely sure it wasn’t a smooth 60fps. I want 60 all the way. Sometimes lookign at the titan it was 60 though.

Lol, ok dude. Im glad they are keeping it secret though for Gow 3. Always a problem when developers show so much of the game.

Where did you hear that they had showed the Hades boss battle? Ive seen the picures of the battle but didnt think they had shown it to the press. I wonder if journalists are under embargo.

It’s not even under embargo, it was in a magazine, and they described the arena as far as I remember.

But yeah, i always spell have wrong.
