Ubisoft knows setting for Assassins Creed III

Ubisoft’s already drummed out in it’s head the setting for Assassin’s Creed III, according to CEO of Ubi’s Montreal studio Yannis Mallat. They still aren’t going to say anything though, not even a hint.

Oh yeah,” said Yallat, when he was asked if the developer knew which parts of history the next game will see.

We know how to keep our secrets. Think about it, Assassin’s Creed as a brand is definitely oriented towards reliving pivotal moments in history. So along that path we may revisit some interesting moments.”

And an ending for Desmond?

Who talked about an ending,” admitted Yallat.

We haven’t even had Assassin’s Creed II yet, and here we are talking about ACIII. ACII is out on November 20 FYI, in case you didn’t know.

Thanks, CVG.

lots of interesting possibilities throughout history for it. But i have a suspicion it’ll have something to do with WW1 or WW2.

    Solid guess.

I’d like to see them do something with the future though. Make the game a trilogy with part 3 having battles take place in present time (not OUR present, but AC1 or AC2′s present with the dude in the chamber). Make him the playable charater and take on the family role of Assasins Creed…

So long as it’s not WW2, it’ll be fine.

Victorian London. A top-hatted assassin, eviscerating prostitu… oh, wait.

It’s the US during the war of independence. Jade told me.

Please, PLEASE be the French Revolution! It would fit in so well, both stylistically and thematically!
