New scans for FFXIII, PS3 version doesn’t require install
Famitsu has new scans of Final Fantasy XIII in it’s latest issue.
It mostly shows new girl Oerba Yun Fang, shown at the end of the English Tokyo Game Show trailer, with her summon Bahamut.

Meanwhile, IGN has managed to translate the exact same article, which confirms the PS3 version of the game will recieve no install at all. Oh, and there obviously will be trophies.

Game is out in Japan on the PlayStation 3 on December 17. Europe and US get it on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in spring 2010.

i hope the xbox 360 requires an install that doesn’t require me to switch discs while in play.

Man, that Oerba chick is freaking hot! I just hope this game’s story doesn’t suck as the trailers have all left a bitter taste in my mouth.

FFXIII for the 360 will be between 3-4 disks if it requires more then have to pay more royalties. So they will hit it in that ballpark.

Think it is a humanoid version of Bahamut. Not very intimidating imo.

There were some rumours flying around the other day that the Western release wasn’t going to make ‘Spring’ any more. Did anything come of that? Or are they still just rumours?

I didnt even hear of this. And I try to keep up with all FFXIII news as much as I can.

Obviously the extra development time has allowed a degree of optimisation.
It’s amazing what can be done when developers work with one type of hardware.
I am right that it’s a PS3 version and a 360 port right?

Yes, though they’re both being made in tandem right now.
