I’m very surprised to not see Halo 3 in that list. Didn’t that game sell close to eight million copies in its first year?

That’s not the same, though – you can’t use the guitar to play anything other than guitar games. I’d love to know how many people have even bothered to boot up the Wii Play disc more than once.

I still think they shouldn’t count Wii Play into these things. Or at least give us the top 11 so we can remove it ourselves.

These are, of course, not the sales numbers for this year, but for this century (Jan. 2000 to Aug. 2009), as the first line of the Gamespot article mentions.
