Japanese first day software sales, week ending Oct. 17 – Uncharted 2 FTW

Quite a few games were released in Japan this week, and NintendoEverything has the list of games released and how many units each one moved.

As you would probably deduce by the title, Uncharted 2 was tops moving 47,000 units and 70 percent of its stock.

Okami for Wii moved 45 percent of its retail stock, with 19,000 units landing in the hands of gamers.

Here’s the rest:

  1. Uncharted 2 (PS3) – 47,000 (70%)
  2. Okami (Wii) – 19,000 (45%)
  3. Undead Knights (PSP) – 13,000 (48%)
  4. BeatMania IIDX 16: Empress/Premium Best (PS2) – 11,000 (54%)
  5. Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Senaka wo Takuseshi Mono (PSP) – 10,000 (43%)
  6. Steins Gate (360) – LE 7,100 (58%), SE 3,800 (48%)
  7. UFC 2009 (PS3) – 3,900 (60%)
  8. Kimi ni Todoke: Sodateru Omoi (DS) – 3,700 (34%)
  9. Shounen Sunday & Shounen Magazine: White Comic (DS) – 2,600 (12%)
  10. Slotter Up Mania 11: 2027 vs 2027 II (PSP) – 1,900 (54%)
  11. NBA 2K10 (PS3) – 1,700 (44%)
  12. UFC 2009 (360) – 1,200 (32%)

It is ….. Awesome.

It’s all been a bit of a blur so far. But goddamn it is long! I am not even halfway through and I have been playing for about 4 hours (in between thse annoying eating, drinking and pissing things).

I can’t believe Japan only just got Okami Wii. What’s the reason for that? It’s not as if they had to translate it.
