Wii Play moves 11.1 million copies in the US

Wii Play has become North America’s top-selling game of the decade by moving 11.1 million copies in the US since launch, and these numbers do not include a Wii Bundle.
It’s ahead of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (8.25 million sales), Wii Fit (7.9 million), GTA: Vice City (6.9 million) and Mario Kart Wii (6.7 million), according to NPD.
Good for Nintendo.

Well it’s not being bought as a game is it? It’s a 2nd Wiimote with a free demo disk.

That’s 11.1 million Wii-motes and about 11 million drinks coasters.

I found wii play a huge let down. Sure it was fun for about 6 games then it just became a showcase for my family for the wii. But they didn’t find it very fun. So I sold my wii and purged myself of the shite
