Rumor: Possible video for Road Rash revamp hits the net

Remember back in August when EA Montreal VP Alan Tuscan told CVG that some of EA’s legacy games from the 16-bit era could make a return to the gaming spotlight?
Well, hold on to your hats kiddos, because it looks like some early video footage of a possible new Road Rash has landed on the internet.
CVG found the video, which is supposedly the work of EA Warrington, and shows concept gameplay of “bikers wrestling each other at high speed, and swinging baseball bats”
Neato. It’s after the break.

That really does look rather decent. Here’s hoping somebody builds on it.

It’s clear from even a cursory glance at this video that this isn’t live gameplay. It’s a pre-visualisation CGI sequence meant to present the basic idea of the concept.
If this is being worked on, there is no way that it will look *quite* this amazing. It certainly looks pretty awesome though, I’ll give it that.

Oh yeah, it’s clearly not real time, but I liked the way you could grab signs off the road and yank people off the bikes. As I say, I hope somebody builds on it.

Well this has sure been a while…
I hope they don’t go with the silly big headed character designs of the later game(s?) though, never liked those…

They already made that game and called it Burnout Paradise, but without the violence.
