Bayonetta demo – PS3 vs 360 screens
Gamefront’s posted up comparison shots of the now-released PS3 and 360 Bayonetta demos. Play spot the difference.
The tester’s only been released on Japan as yet. The game’s out early next year.
Via Sega Nerds and Kotaku.

“Well as the person who described it as a loveless port, I have to say that your summary of the PS3 demo is by quite some distance the kindest I’ve read thus far.”
You could always set up a Japanese PS3 account and check out the demo for yourself.

btw if anyone is not out drinking tonight, there’s some extra fighting to be done at the beginning of the level AFTER you killed babyface at the fountain.

I spent some time trying to yesterday evening, but eventually gave up. All of the online guides seem to be based around the old login system. Never mind, to be honest, that you say people are making a bigger meal out of this than is necessary is very easy to believe.
I’ve just checked out some vids and the PS3 frame rate seemed to hold up fine. There’s no defending some of the differences in texture quality though, the real question is would you notice it as bad if the 360 version didn’t exist?

They may be based on the old login system, but the layout is superficially identical. It took me less than five minutes to get set up. Really, it’s worth it to ensure for yourself how it plays before purchasing.
The textures are a lower resolution due to memory constraints of the PS3, nothing else. If you want to blame anyone for that, blame Sony. But like I said, the difference is negligible when the game is in motion.

Thanks for that, I’ll take a look at it later.
