Ueda: “I have an interest in making first-person games”
Fumito Ueda has revealed that he has an “interest” in possibly making first-person games.
“I have an interest in making first-person games”, the Team ICO boss said in an interview at TGS with G4.
He also admitted a love for one First-Person Shooter in particular: Valve’s Half-Life 2.
“There was variation in terms locations. and also the way of storytelling in the game. Usually, you have to incorporate storytelling with constraints, but the way they [Valve] implemented constraints was something different that I enjoyed, compared to other games.”
Find more through the link. Ueda and Team ICO are currently working on The Last Guardian for the PS3.

One thing you can learn from Valve is to start developing for PC and 360(and drop PS3…

I know we were all hungry for TLG info at TGS but you can’t help but feel sorry for Fumito Ueda answering the same old lame shit over and over. It’s a waste of his time.
I think we should leave him in peace now until they finish at the end of next year…

I don’t really need any more information on The Last Guardian bar a release date. I’m going to buy it anyway, so really it’s for the best if there’s as little chance to spoil the game for myself as possible.
