PSPgo already dropping to £200

pspgo3

UK retailers have already started dropping the price of PSPgo, with Amazon, Play, GAME and HMV now selling the machine for £199.99.

It was £224.99 when it launched last week.

SCEE said earlier today that PSP hardware sales have risen 100 percent since PSPgo released on October 1.

Thanks, EG.

1 a week to 2 a week is a 100% increase. Good job there PSP team!

  2. Chop another £50 off that and allow competitive pricing of the software and I’ll think about it.

    AND STILL TOO HIGH.

I never get tired of that press shot.

It looks like the plastic is bubbling away.

Still $249 in the US, would like to see it go down to at least $179. This crippled device hasn’t sold one unit at the Gamestop I work at. Not one. Can’t use my own UMDs in it, and the only way to get games are overpriced PSN downloads. And there’s the new micro Mem Stick Duo whatever which is also overpriced, along with all proprietary peripherals. Nothing has made this device appealing to anyone I know. The only way they can sell a watered down PSP is at a watered down price, which it still isn’t at.

lol… that’s cold. Still, I can’t say I’ve got much sympathy for the gadget freaks who bought one on day one.

    $249 = £170 I’m cool with that.

Unlike the price of gas here in the UK compared to the US, if I hear one more fucken yank whinge about gas price I swear I’ll go postal!

Obviously my little rant is in no way aimed at my US Colleagues and friends… Thank you ;)

There was a rather amusing article today stating you could get a PS3 in Toys’r'us stateside for $20 less than a PSPgo (with the help of a coupon code). Incredible.

The Go has been snubbed by retailers in the uk. No promotion at all in Argos, they didnt even carry any stock on launch day in my area, not even mentioned or sold in toys r us, Blockbuster, not in Asda or Tescos, I think HMV and Game and PC World were the only high street game retailers to carry stock. it seems unsurprisingly a lot of retailers are desperate to see the download model fail.

They need to drop the one in the US as well, 250 US dollars for a PSPGo? WTF. Put 30 dollars more and you’ll get a 360 or a PS3. Handhelds need to be cheapier.

So what? I oreorderd mine months ago and it was £200 at tesco.
