Fable II Episode I available for free now
Fable II Episode I, the first of five, is now available for free on Live.
This is the full game broken out into parts. The first bit costs you nothing: the other four parts will be charged.
Still. Free Fable II. Get it for a measly 2Gb.
The game’s episodic release was announced at GamesCom in August.

If you already got Fable 2, these episodes are not for you, I’m afraid. It’s not new content, just the original disk’s content in 5 chunks of episodic form…

Remember, this is the same old game that you already played. The episodes aren’t ‘new content’, it’s just the retail game broken up into five chunks. Just to save you a 2gb download if you hadn’t already realised.

And buy it cheap in stores while you’re at it, the save game works with the retail disc aswell.

Does this require gold membership?

Nope. It’s in the ‘games on demand’ section, which is open to everyone.

So how do the Achievements work? I’m assuming you can’t play the retail and episode versions through for double points.
